RUINS OF THE CHURCH AND FRIARY OF SAN FRANCISCO (A Coruña, Spain)
This is how the site looked like at the begining and the end of our work. We found much more paved surface than expected and it was hard work, but a very satisfying one.
The paved areas correspond to the cloister’s ambulatory. The rectangular area on the right side, with the semicircular end is the main nave of the church.
After consolidation, the pavement was covered again for protection, until a future, wider intervention takes place (hopefully) to improve the ruins’ social significance and spread the knowledge about their history to the public.
